Books into Movies
Amazon.com is running a special today on old books and stories that were made into movies. The books are priced at 99 cents so it’s a pretty good deal. I picked up I Am Legend by Richard Matheson, written in 1953, Who Goes There? (The Thing) by John W. Campbell, written in 1938, The Midwich Cuckoos (Village of the Damned) by John Wyndham, written in 1957 and The Day of the Triffids, also by John Wyndham, written in 1951. I love old SF books and consider, at least film wise, the 1950s as being the Golden Age of SF movies. I’ll post reviews on goodreads.com as I finish the books.
